It's been hard for me to find big problems in the Finnish model of education and society. But here are some issues I've collected talking with people from different backgrounds:
- The upper secondary system gives so many freedom for students (to choose the courses) that they become lost.
- Finnish people think that speaking only English as a foreign language is enough. They need to learn more languages, to grasp different points of view.
- For the first time in a moment of crisis, government has made budget cuts in Education. It will bring harmful consequences in the future.
- Young people are forgetting History. This is serious specially regarding European events between the 1930s and 1940s.
